Our Code the IoT hackathon took place on the 7th and 8th of June! All participants were given a short learning graph and were asked to design and develop a learning material (LM) that would fit any of the two learning atoms combining also the readings from the ioT devices delivered by InLife project and/or the security button provided by Trillion project.
The two winner teams managed to design, develop and integrate with the MaTHiSiS platform quiz-based learning materials (LM) that aim at raising public awareness on the efficient citizen behaviour in case of a car accident towards improving safety in our societies. The two teams developed learning materials (LM) at three different difficulty levels matching the MaTHiSiS requirements and adaptation of the learning experience was demonstrated during LM demonstration in the end.
The 1st winning team consisted of Theodore Psallidas , Alexander Mitsou and Apostolos Maniatis (all students of the dept. of informatics of University of Thessaly), meanwhile that team that won the 2nd prize consisted of Christos Socratous (student of the University of West Attica) and Chris Gioftsos (junior developer).
The teams were supported by Tasos Dimanidis from CERTH, Thomas Techene and Vincent Ponchaut from DXT, Pavlos Kosmidis from InLife project.
The jury consisted of the technical manager of the three projects (Nicholas Vretos, Konstantinos Demestichas and Charalambos Patrikakis) and Theofanis Orfanoudakis, director of the education content methodology and technology laboratory of the hellenic open university.
